An Insight Into Our Business
Roots Hair Salon was founded by Nicole and Dana, friends and stylists with over 20 years of experience. They met at Jean Madeline cosmetology school in South Philadelphia and have been working side by side ever since.
In 2019, they opened their first salon in Milmont Park, naming it Roots to honor the strong foundation they built together. Just months later, the COVID-19 shutdown tested their resilience, but they came back stronger, growing a loyal clientele and a warm, welcoming space.
By 2022, they expanded to a larger location at 234 Milmont Avenue, offering more services and adding to their talented team.
In 2025, Nicole and Dana are proud to open a second location in Villanova, featuring an elevated salon experience and a luxurious Head Spa.
